Neighborhood Group Leader Spotlight

Spotlight on Neighborhood Group Leader Jan Loy Each issue of Needle News will spotlight a Neighborhood Group Leader. In this issue the spotlight is on Jan Loy. Jan is the leader of Sew Chic, the Neighborhood Group that meets at the Jacaranda Library in Venice. She has led this group for the past 7 years and will be retiring as leader at the end of June. Jan has lived most of her life in Michigan where she worked as a high school teacher of Life Management (we used to call it home economics). She has been sewing since the age of 12 or 13. Jan does mostly fashion sewing and her other hobbies are walking, participating in church groups and activities and socializing with friends and family. She now lives in Venice and has been a member of SGCASG since 2003.
